Hello to all the sword lesbians, dagger demis, and shield bearers. But especially to anyone who recently (or not so recently) has had their heart broken.

I'm sorry. 

Heartbreak is awful. I hope you're getting love and support and everything you need to get through it.

It's so awful that when I first wrote what would become this playbook, I took one look, set it on the shelf, and said, "Why would anyone want to play this as their fun, flirty power fantasy?" 

But what could be more of a power fantasy than having loyal and loving friends or partners surrounding you helping you cry and shatter and break? Not having to be alone with no one in reach while you sob and howl in pain? Sometimes you don't get a hug when you need it. But in this game, with this playbook, you can have those messy dramatic break-ups and lean into the tears, knowing that your group is ready to catch you and lift you up. 

I owe a lot of thanks to a few individuals in the TSL discord server who encouraged me to consider publishing this. I changed a lot since I shared it, but without them those changes wouldn't have happened. A big thank you also to my fellow collaborators, who always have the best feedback and spot all the issues. Without them, this playbook might have more holes than just the one in its heart.
